FAQ: X-Link
1. Where can I purchase a Liquivision X-Link?To purchase a Liquivision X1 dive computer, please visit our order page and select your local dealer. If you do not see a dealer near your location, please contact us directly.
The Liquivision Fischer X-Link comes with a Fischer connector sealing cap, thumbscrews to secure it to the X1, and mineral oil.
The Liquivision Hardwired X-Link comes with 5 feet/1.5 metres of 6mm waterstop cable and thumbscrews to secure it to the X1.
The X-Link does not come with a multifunction Attachment and AC Adapter (however, you can purchase a Liquivision Charger Kit which includes these items), or a rebreather cable with male Fischer plug. For more information about the cable, please visit the X-Link page.
You can charge the X-Link two ways: 1) Stand alone re-charging, and 2) Mated re-charging. The advantage of stand-alone recharging is that it is quick and easy (no need to set up the X1 Dive Computer in any way). However, you will not know when charging is finished. The advantage of mated recharging is that some software packages can report to you the progress of the X-Link recharge sequence.
For stand-alone recharging:
Connecting:
- First connect the Attachment to the X-Link using the thumbscrews
- THEN connect the Attachment to the AC Adapter and to power
Disconnecting:
- Disconnect the AC Adapter from the Attachment
- THEN disconnect the Attachment from the X-Link
For mated re-charging:
Connecting:
- FIRST wake up the X1 Dive Computer by taps or by wet finger contact.
- If your software offers a menu for monitoring X-Link recharging, then enter that menu.
- For V-Planner Live: X1 Settings -> Clocks, Calibrate -> CCR Calibrations
- THEN connect the X-Link to the X1 Dive Computer using the thumbscrews.
- THEN connect the Attachment to the X-Link by using thumb screws.
- FINALLY, connect the Attachment to the AC Adapter and to power.
- Your X-Link should automatically start charging once the Attachment and AC Adapter are connected.
- If your software supports an X-Link recharge monitoring function, then the display will show a “charging status” – how it appears will depend on the 3rd party software you have installed on the X1 Dive Computer.
- Charging should take approximately 4 hours.
Disconnecting:
- 5) First, disconnect the AC Adapter from the Attachment
- 6) THEN disconnect the Attachment from the X-Link
For instructions on how to connect the Liquivision X-Link to your rebreather, please visit the CCR Connection page.
